The People’s United Telepathic Improvisation Front – PUTIF –
are Tomomi Adachi and Jennifer Walshe. Living and working at a distance of hundreds and sometimes thousands of miles from one another, once a week Adachi and Walshe choose a specific time to make an improvisation together. Unable to hear each other normally, they listen and improvise together telepathically, synchronising only their start and end time. Adachi and Walshe each make a recording of their own improvisation and these are mixed together afterwards. They consider these improvisations “trainings” for their guerilla telepathic activities.
Also, they present public concerts, invite peoples to listen to them through their telepathic abilities. The concerts were hosted by The DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program and Akademie der Künste, Berlin.
